A 200-store fashion retailer lifted roster-to-demand fit by 11% and halved planning time

Cover was redistributed into the weekend hours that convert, and planners stopped rebuilding schedules from scratch each week.

The situation

Weekend traffic ran far heavier than weekdays, but rosters barely changed across the week, so the floor was thin exactly when conversion was highest. Planners spent around eleven hours a week each in spreadsheets and still built to gut feel.

What we did

We modelled the link between floor cover, traffic and conversion, forecast demand per store, and built reusable demand-matched templates. A pilot proved the conversion lift before rollout, and planners moved to adjusting a tuned template rather than starting blank.

The surprise was not just the saving. Our planners got their week back, and the floor is finally covered when the customers are actually in.
